There are a few beverages you shouldn’t drink if you’re trying to lose weight. The one in particular, which I would say is a beverage that is under the radar and marketed as healthy is fruit juices…
Fruit juice is one of those drinks that people say is “healthy” for you because it’s made from fruit. Sadly, fruit juice is extremely processed and unhealthy for you. Any fruit juice you see at the store should be avoided.
The only acceptations to drinking fruit juices would be if the juice was fresh squeezed and had pulp in it. Even so, you’re just consuming sugar water, which spikes your blood sugar and causes unwanted weight gain.
(NOTE: Fruit juice turns your fat burning switch OFF.)
The reason you should avoid fruit juice is because when the fiber has been stripped out of the juice, your blood sugar levels spike rapidly, however, if you ate an orange instead of orange juice, then your blood sugar would produce a smaller spike, which would keep your body in fat burning mode.
This is because with fiber, the sugar is absorbed at a slower rate rather than drinking strictly juice.
Another negative of drinking fruit juice and signaling an insulin spike is that your body feels like it has a lot of energy to burn. When you have this excess energy and you don’t use it up then you’ll store it as fat.
This is very interesting information that many people have not considered. Millions of people are making this mistake daily. Most wake up in the morning and start the day with a big glass of orange juice, and turn their fat burning switch OFF, without even realizing what they’re doing!
Then after they drink their orange juice they go off to work and sit at a desk all day. So you can see how misinformed people are when it comes to losing weight and turning their fat burning switch ON.
