Post Holiday DetoxThe Holidays are full of cookies, cakes, and candy so now that the holidays are over, its’ time to get your body back into shape! Even being in the healthy shape that I’m in, my family still always has cookies around me and I did enjoy a few of them. Losing weight is all about eating the foods you love in the proper ways so you can lose weight at the same time.

There are three steps that I tell my new clients to follow when they come into my office for a consultation. Today I wanted to give you these steps so you can start seeing weight loss results. You should have your New Year’s resolution set so this is the next step achieving your current goal…

Step 1: Clean Out Leftovers

If you couldn’t give all your leftovers away to your family members and you have your fridge full of cake, then you should get rid of it. Either throw it away or bring it to a friends or family member’s house for them to eat it.

If you’re truly looking forward to losing weight this year then you should be motivated to not eat these fattening weight gaining foods.

Step 2: Eat Nourishing Foods

Nourishing your body is essential for a successful detox. Cleansing your body is all about getting the bad foods out of your body and bringing in the good. You should be eating lots of fruits and vegetables during this phase.

Stay away from dipping your vegetables in dressings because surprisingly they are full of sugar and exactly what you don’t want to be eating. Never eat any dressings even if they claim to be healthy or “sugar free” because chances are they’re not. Some companies add chemicals to compensate for removing the sugar from their recipe.

Step 3: Drink Lots of Water

Water in something most of us are not drinking enough of. You should be drinking half your weight in ounces of water every day. I know that may seem like a lot of water and it is if you’re used to only drinking a small amount of water each day.

Try to start increasing your water intake day by day so you can flush out more of the toxins you’ve been ingesting. Don’t just take 1 big gulp of water at once. Try to evenly sequence how much water you drink throughout the day.

I’m always walking around with a water bottle so I’m always staying refreshed, hydrated, and full of energy. ')}
