1. Running up the stairs

Be it at the house or at the office, you can always rely on stairs to increase your heart rate. Try to go up as fast as you can until the point of failure. You should feel the muscles in your calves and thighs start to burn. This is a good thing; don’t be alarmed! You may feel a little shaky afterwards, so make sure to stretch and cool down.
